About the Role
Ferretti Search is partnering with a growing company to find a skilled Demand Planner based in Charlotte, NC. This hybrid position offers the chance to make a significant strategic contribution by enhancing forecasting accuracy, optimizing inventory levels, and improving overall supply chain effectiveness. Working Monday through Friday, you will engage cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Procurement, Finance, and supply chain leadership to influence important business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Create, maintain, and refine demand forecasts for multiple product lines and customer channels by analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and internal business insights.
- Conduct detailed analysis on forecast performance, identify drivers of demand changes, perform variance analyses, and provide actionable recommendations to improve accuracy and inventory management.
- Lead demand review meetings, participate in Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes, and collaborate closely with supply chain, procurement, and operations teams to synchronize inventory and production plans with customer demand.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 5 years of professional experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory or supply chain planning, or related fields.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with ERP systems and planning tools such as SAP, Oracle, Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, Anaplan, or similar platforms.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively and influence stakeholders at multiple levels with data-driven insights.
Preferred Credentials
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
- Experience supporting S&OP cycles and processes.
- Background in manufacturing, consumer products, retail, distribution, or similar industries.
- Knowledge of statistical forecasting techniques.
- Certifications from APICS/ASCM such as CPIM or CSCP are advantageous.
- Experience working with business intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
