Role Overview

This full-time, on-site Delivery Driver position based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, involves transporting goods from pickup locations to customers and distribution points according to scheduled routes. Daily responsibilities focus on safely loading and unloading items, verifying and recording delivery documents, and ensuring all deliveries and returns are accurately documented. Drivers are expected to regularly inspect their vehicles, report any maintenance requirements, and comply with all traffic and safety regulations. The role demands professional interaction with customers, resolving minor delivery challenges, and occasionally assisting warehouse operations.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Experience operating forklifts or other material handling equipment is advantageous.
• Previous experience training or mentoring fellow staff is a benefit.
• Exposure to sales or client-facing responsibilities is a plus.
• Background delivering food and beverage or handling perishable items is preferred.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely lift packages and remain on feet for prolonged periods.
• Dependable, punctual, and meticulous in route adherence and procedures.
• Basic familiarity with Halifax local routes and traffic laws.
