Description de l'emploi

About the company

Foodstuffs North Island, known for brands such as New World, PAK’nSAVE, and Four Square, is a locally owned co-operative serving communities across Te Ika-a-Maui. With more than 300 stores and over 24,000 people in the Foodies network, the business plays a major role in helping New Zealanders get more from everyday life.

The supply chain is a large and busy part of the operation, supporting thousands of in-store and online customers every day. More than 1,000 team members help move over 97.8 million cartons each year, covering around 19 million kilometres.

About the role

This Junior Supply Planner position sits within the DC Replenishment team and is focused on making sure products are available when needed across distribution centres. It is a strong entry point for someone wanting to grow a career in supply planning, inventory control, and FMCG operations while contributing to a team that values service and collaboration.

Key responsibilities

  • Look after an initial portfolio of local and/or imported suppliers and help meet service and stock level targets.
  • Create purchase orders, check supplier confirmations, and monitor delivery progress.
  • Review replenishment information and stock performance through Replenverse and SAP.
  • Work closely with suppliers, merchandise teams, distribution centre operations, and other partners to improve product availability.
  • Assist with inventory improvement work, including stock turn goals, reducing excess stock, and managing shortages.

What you will bring

You should be analytical, well organised, and willing to learn. The role suits someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced setting, is comfortable with data, and can build effective relationships across teams and suppliers. Recent graduates are welcome, as are candidates with early supply chain experience.

  • A bachelor’s qualification in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, Operations, or a similar discipline.
  • Up to 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, inventory management, or FMCG settings.
  • Strong Excel capability, including Pivot Tables, data analysis, and LOOKUP formulas.
  • Good communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
  • The ability to organise priorities, stay composed under pressure, and adjust to changing business needs.
  • BI/BA experience is preferred.

Benefits and perks

  • Free parking, including more than 1,000 car parks and 36 free EV charging plugs.
  • Southern Cross health insurance and the Foodies superannuation scheme.
  • An on-site café with discounted meals, a mini mart, and a 5% discount in retail stores.
  • Flexible working options, a birthday day off, and long service leave.
  • Internal learning and development programmes, flu vaccinations, and social network groups known as Tribes.

Additional information

The company values diversity and inclusion and welcomes applications from people with diverse backgrounds, including those with disability, additional health or mental health needs, and neurodiversity. Candidates who do not meet every requirement are still encouraged to apply if they believe they are a good fit for the role.

If you need more information or reasonable adjustments during recruitment, you can contact the recruitment team for support. Possible accommodations may include an interview location adjustment, a sign language interpreter, or assistive technology.
