About the Role
Our client seeks a Data Engineer Consultant eager to advance their career by collaborating with leading experts in New Zealand's data community. This role emphasizes passion for constructing sophisticated data models and delivering actionable insights. Responsibilities span the entire data technology stack, including backend data warehouse construction and front-end analytics through dashboards.

Location
Auckland and Wellington, New Zealand.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Design and implement data warehouses and ETL processes.
- Translate business requirements into conceptual and logical data models.
- Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and user-defined functions.
- Use Databricks extensively for data engineering tasks.
- Apply data modelling techniques to support data analytics needs.
- Work in a fast-paced agile environment, managing multiple tasks with tight deadlines.
- Deliver strong customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Additional competencies include proficiency with SQL and other database technologies, exposure to visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Snowflake is advantageous.
