Role Overview

In the Data department, under the guidance of the Tech Team Lead for Data Engineering, you will be instrumental in architecting, building, and supporting the data infrastructure that enables business intelligence and analytic functions.

Main Responsibilities

  • Create and sustain scalable data pipelines and ETL workflows.
  • Design and optimize data models to enhance efficiency and scalability.
  • Maintain high data quality, integrity, and security standards for all data assets.
  • Document data processes and system architectures effectively.
  • Drive continuous enhancements of data infrastructure aligning with business growth.
  • Diagnose and address data issues swiftly to minimize disruption.
  • Work collaboratively with data scientists and analysts to tailor solutions to data needs.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a data engineering or analogous role.
  • Proficient in scripting languages including Python, Shell, and Bash.
  • Expert-level SQL skills.
  • Strong Python programming capabilities.
  • Experience working with the Snowflake data platform.
  • Competent in dbt development for data transformation.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services.
  • Knowledge of ETL/ELT design and implementation techniques.
  • Experience in data warehousing and dimensional data modelling.
  • Understanding of CI/CD procedures and DevOps methodologies.
  • Comfortable using source control tools such as Git and Azure DevOps.
  • Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or equivalents.
