Customer Service Assistant - Mullingar

About the Role

As a Customer Service Assistant at Boyle Sports in Mullingar, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional customer experiences by maintaining a friendly and knowledgeable attitude. Your duties will include supporting the Shop Manager in daily operations, ensuring high standards of service and store presentation, processing bets accurately, and occasionally managing the shop during the absence of management.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Shop Manager and Assistant Manager in smooth day-to-day shop functions.
• Take charge of shop operations, including opening, closing, and directing the shop team when required.
• Handle cash management procedures reliably.
• Participate in on-the-job training and skills development to advance within the company.
• Deliver excellent customer service by processing bets through various channels like betting terminals and the EPOS system promptly and accurately.
• Act as a Brand Ambassador by promoting the multi-channel and digital betting journey to customers.
• Maintain calmness while working under pressure and continually seek personal and shop improvements.
• Uphold high standards for shop cleanliness and presentation throughout shifts.
• Adhere strictly to all safety, compliance, operational procedures, and social responsibility obligations.
• Engage actively as part of a team environment, introducing customers to in-shop and online offerings.

• Customer service-oriented with a high level of trustworthiness and integrity.
• Flexible availability as business operates seven days a week.
• Adaptable to a dynamic retail environment with strong attention to detail and numeracy skills.
• Enthusiastic, able to work independently and collaboratively, with excellent communication abilities.
• Passionate about sports industry/events and confident in building customer relationships.

• Problem solving and creative thinking skills.
• Organized, reliable, and dependable with proven strong cash handling experience.
• Previous retail or industry experience is a plus but not mandatory as complete training is provided.
