Customer Delivery Driver - Wilton (30 hours)

Position Overview

Tesco Ireland is seeking dedicated Customer Delivery Drivers to join their Wilton team in Cork. This role is central to delivering an outstanding shopping experience, as drivers represent the first face customers see. The position involves active, varied duties with a high degree of independence during deliveries, supported by a responsive team at base. Various shifts are available with a shift pattern that adapts to operational needs.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality home shopping service, focusing on customer satisfaction at all times.
• Load delivery vans as needed and ensure vehicle safety and roadworthiness before leaving.
• Effectively follow assigned schedules and routes designed for efficiency.
• Present a professional appearance wearing uniform and establish positive interactions with customers.
• Operate vehicles safely, abiding by traffic laws, and demonstrate courtesy to all road users.
• Greet customers warmly by using their name and handle deliveries with care and respect.

Candidate Requirements

• Possession of a full Irish or EU driving license (manual or automatic) held for a minimum of two years with no more than three penalty points.
• Exemplary safe driving habits coupled with courteous and responsible road behavior.
• Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly demeanor, sense of humor, and excellent communication.
• Ability to work autonomously with decisiveness and good judgment.
• Committed to providing excellent customer service and positively contributing to team morale.
• Capability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations.
• Applicants must not have any driving disqualifications within the last ten years, and employment offers require passing a Garda Vetting Process plus providing penalty point proof from NDLS.

Remuneration and Benefits

• Hourly wage starting at €18.24 for new drivers, with an additional premium for Sunday shifts.
