About the Role
As a Custom Software Engineer focused on aircraft maintenance documentation, you will develop bespoke software solutions by designing, coding, and enhancing system or application components. The position involves employing modern development frameworks and agile methodologies to create scalable, high-performance software that caters specifically to business needs related to aircraft maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Author Component Maintenance Manuals (CMM) compliant with iSpec 2200 and established maintenance procedures documentation standards.
- Possess a strong background with 5 to 10 years in CMM authoring.
- Experience with Airbus fleet components is considered an advantage.
- Work independently and take on proofreading responsibilities.
- Interpret client engineering instructions to ensure procedures align with maintenance philosophy, system redundancy, and failure management logic.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to confirm engineering solutions meet project objectives.
- Actively contribute to team discussions and promote solution-focused approaches.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Extensive CMM authoring experience spanning 5 to 10 years.
- At least 3 years of proofreading experience on CMM for the Airbus fleet.
- Background in authoring documentation related to structures, systems, and flight controls is a valuable plus.
- Must have proficient English language skills at a B2+ level.
- Educational qualification equivalent to 15 years full-time education; preferably a degree in Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering (B.E/B. Tech) or relevant AME background.
