Custodian (WVE)

Role Overview

Berkeley County School District is hiring a part-time Custodian for its Charleston, South Carolina Metropolitan Area location. The position is scheduled for 8 hours each day across 245 working days in the year.

Compensation

The annual pay range for this role is $32,673 to $48,000.

Application Requirements

All required documents must be scanned and uploaded through the district’s APPLITRACK system. Materials submitted by any other method will not be accepted. Only complete applications will be reviewed.

• Updated resume
• Proof of a high school diploma or an equivalent credential; or
• At least 1 year of custodial experience confirmed on company letterhead and signed by a supervisor; or
• Any comparable mix of education and experience
• Negative TB test result dated within the last 12 months. Applicants are strongly encouraged to upload this document with the application. If the test has not yet been completed, a Word document must be uploaded stating that the results will be submitted once available. Any delay in providing TB results can slow the onboarding process if the candidate is selected.

Selection Process

Applicants who move forward for interview consideration will be informed within 3 weeks after the vacancy closes. The district asks candidates not to contact them about interview status. Depending on application volume, not every applicant will receive an interview. Candidates may also be considered for more than one opening.
