About the Role
Deloitte's Strategy, Risk & Transaction group assists organizations in managing risks while uncovering opportunities to enhance value. Their comprehensive risk services address strategic risk management, board oversight improvement, financial and environmental policy balancing, and cybersecurity challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed credit evaluations focusing on financial statement analysis, business assessment, and peer benchmarking, particularly for corporate clients.
- Compile underwriting documentation such as credit notes, renewal proposals, and new-to-bank requests by integrating borrower financials, industry data, and internal risk policies.
- Assist business teams through financial data input, data validation, documentation review, and answering portfolio-related questions.
- Collaborate with Legal and Operations departments to verify accuracy and compliance of facility and security documentation as per approved agreements.
- Monitor credit portfolio health by tracking covenant compliance, reviewing exposures, analyzing early-warning signals, and ensuring adherence to approval terms, escalating issues as necessary.
- Maintain transparent communication channels with business units, risk management, and support functions to facilitate seamless credit processing.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- 2 to 6 years of experience in corporate credit analysis.
- Proficiency in advanced financial analysis techniques, including credit ratio interpretation, cash flow evaluation, and lending structure assessment.
- Strong skills in financial modeling, Excel, and data validation.
- Thorough understanding of credit policies, documentation standards, and governance frameworks.
- Preferred postgraduate qualifications or professional certifications such as CA, CFA, or FRM.
- In-depth knowledge of credit analysis, corporate finance, banking products, credit controls, and audit processes.
