Role summary

As a Courier, you will move specimens, supplies, and reports safely and reliably while keeping deliveries punctual, professional, and secure. In addition to transportation duties, you will represent the LifeLabs brand on the road and contribute to the company’s trusted presence in the community.

Shift and work arrangement

This is a full-time onsite position based in Sudbury, Ontario at 2037 Long Lake Rd. The scheduled shift runs from 10:00 AM to 17:30 PM, and the role follows a Monday-to-Friday workweek. The opening is for one existing vacancy, and the expected start is as soon as possible.

All company vehicles are equipped with telematics for driving monitoring.

Key responsibilities

  • Move specimens on time and with care so their integrity is maintained, while working professionally in different driving conditions and in both rural and urban areas during daytime and evening hours.
  • Act as a polished representative of LifeLabs by delivering a courteous and dependable experience at every customer interaction.
  • Use LifeLabs systems to complete online learning, check and respond to emails, and submit timecards.
  • Handle customer situations in a calm, professional way to protect satisfaction and service quality.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent credential.
  • A valid full driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
  • At least 3 years of driving experience with a full valid licence.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds, including some heavy lifting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Capacity to follow a designated route schedule.
  • Successful completion of the LifeLabs Driver Performance Evaluation.
  • Flexibility to work variable hours and accept sudden shift changes.
