Consultant - Governance, Risk, and Controls

About the Role

As a Consultant within the Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC) team, you will actively contribute to projects aimed at strengthening clients' governance, risk management, and compliance systems. Collaborate with experienced professionals and gain valuable exposure to diverse industries and client-specific challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating and improving governance, risk management, and control frameworks.
• Contribute to the preparation of client reports and presentations.
• Conduct research and analytics leveraging proprietary global tools and methodologies.
• Work alongside team members to address client issues and deliver quality results.
• Foster client relationships and support a positive and inclusive team environment.

Your Experience and Skills

• Possess 1 to 2 years of experience in internal audit, governance, risk, controls advisory, or within regulatory agencies such as APRA or ASIC.
• Strong understanding of business processes, associated risks, and control mechanisms.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and adhering to deadlines within a project context.
• A collaborative approach with enthusiasm for building professional networks.

Educational and Other Requirements

• A tertiary degree in business, commerce, accounting, data analytics, or related disciplines.
• Experience in professional services or client-facing roles is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Australian citizenship and possession of AGSVA Baseline security clearance or higher is preferred.
