Compliance Analyst

About the Role

An established financial institution based in Dubai is seeking an experienced Compliance Analyst to join their compliance team. This role reports directly to the Compliance Officer and MLRO, playing a key role in ensuring that the organization remains compliant with the evolving regulatory landscape by implementing necessary policy updates and sustaining comprehensive compliance protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and assess regulatory developments, including updates from regulatory bodies, to ensure company policies and procedures remain compliant.
• Work closely with different internal departments to design and enforce strong compliance policies and procedures.
• Maintain customer due diligence profiles, verifying information completeness and plausibility, and investigate any inconsistencies detected.
• Regularly monitor and enhance operational systems and control frameworks to align with local compliance policies.
• Support financial crime compliance efforts and contribute to compliance-related risk assessments.
• Track regulatory circulars and press releases to ensure adherence to economic sanctions regimes.
• Provide assistance to the legal team on compliance-related projects and support tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; a law degree is preferred.
• At least two years of compliance support experience within the UAE, preferably within a financial institution.
• Proven experience in KYC/AML investigations.
• Pursuing or holding industry certifications such as ACAMS, ACFCS, ICA, or equivalents is advantageous.
• Fluency in English with strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
