About The People Team
The People team at Affirm fosters a high-performing, inclusive culture focused on hiring talent aligned with our mission, cultivating growth through development, and enhancing employee retention via thoughtful experiences and rewards. We implement and manage people programs and systems to build an environment where all team members can excel and contribute meaningfully, thereby creating long-term business advantage.
Role Overview
We are looking for a meticulous and analytically skilled Compensation Lead to oversee the comprehensive management of our compensation platforms. This involves maintaining systems like Radford for survey reporting and Pave for compensation cycle management to align with Affirm’s policies, procedures, and workforce needs. You will play a critical part in the daily management of compensation activities, ensuring the competitiveness and effectiveness of our programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate end-to-end administration of our semiannual compensation processes.
- Lead and contribute to all aspects of annual compensation studies to assess Affirm’s market competitiveness, including detailed role auditing and benchmarking survey management.
- Perform special compensation projects such as analyses of incentive compensation, equity programs, and pay equity.
- Manage pay reporting for the various geographical regions Affirm operates in.
- Support compensation-related training initiatives and communications.
Qualifications and Skills
- At least 5 years of experience in compensation or people analytics.
- Familiarity with compensation management tools, preferably Pave.
- A strong passion for data analysis, adept at converting data into practical insights using tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Sigma Computing, and Claude Code.
- High attention to detail, responsibility, and capability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across teams to meet deadlines.
- Exemplary judgment, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential matters.
- Proven expertise in analyzing diverse data sets to solve complex compensation problems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication capable of simplifying complex information for employees and leadership.
- Highly organized, with the aptitude to handle multiple shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance related to compensation plans and the ability to maintain adherence.
Compensation and Pay Grade
The role corresponds with Pay Grade K and Equity Grade 4. New hires typically start at the lower end of the pay range, which is transparently structured based on factors such as experience, location, and relevant skills.
The Canadian base salary range is between $112,000 and $172,000 annually. The total compensation package may include equity awards, monthly stipends for wellness and technology, and comprehensive benefits with 100% employer-subsidized medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and dependents.
Work Arrangement
Affirm embraces a remote-first culture, allowing employees to work remotely almost anywhere within the respective country. Certain roles, depending on responsibility, might require occasional presence in Affirm offices.
Benefits Highlights
- Complete health coverage for employees and their dependents across all coverage levels.
- Generous Flexible Spending Wallets for technology, food, lifestyle expenses, and family forming costs.
- Competitive vacation and holiday policies supporting work-life balance.
- Employee Stock Purchase Plan offering shares at a discounted rate.
