Work Environment
Shifts primarily take place in private homes, allowing for personalized care and connection with clients.
Preferred Candidate Qualifications
- Must have a recent Vulnerable Sector Check completed.
- Possession of a valid First Aid/CPR certificate is advantageous.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients and their families, helping them feel valued and connected.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and social or recreational activities.
- Assist with mail organization, plan and prepare meals, and teach meal planning if required.
- Demonstrate strong cooking expertise by preparing a range of nutritious, home-cooked meals.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a comfortable living environment.
- Encourage and remind clients to take their medication as prescribed.
- Participate in walks and other outings to promote well-being.
- Note that this role does not involve any personal or hands-on care services.
