The position involves working within a professional kitchen, supporting meal preparation and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and food safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare meal ingredients by washing, peeling, and chopping vegetables and fruits.
• Consistently prepare fresh sandwiches and soups on a daily basis.
• Assist in setting up for lunch and dinner service following directions from the Chef de Partie.
• Ensure timely delivery of food items from own workstation.
• Carry out basic cleaning tasks and ensure workstations meet sanitisation standards according to HACCP regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience working as a kitchen assistant or commis chef, or possession of relevant qualifications.
• Strong understanding of food health and safety regulations.
• A diploma in Culinary Arts or related qualification, or currently enrolled in a culinary studies program.
• Passion for and genuine interest in food and cooking.
• Flexible availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
• Proficiency in English language communication.
