Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Area Commercial Manager for Ireland. This key field-based leadership position focuses on driving profitable growth, developing significant commercial opportunities, and leading a high-performing team across various sectors including acute, long-term care, community, private healthcare, and construction. Reporting to the National Commercial Manager, this role is essential in expanding Arjo’s footprint in the Republic of Ireland.
Key Responsibilities
- Accelerate sales growth and enhance profitability across Ireland.
- Guide, mentor, and develop the Irish commercial team to meet and surpass objectives.
- Establish and nurture relationships with senior-level stakeholders in HSE, private hospitals, care groups, architects, and contractors.
- Identify and capitalize on new commercial opportunities across the full spectrum of Arjo’s products and solutions.
- Work collaboratively with internal divisions such as Rentals, Service, Mobility Outcomes, Sales Support, and Marketing to implement solution-based sales strategies.
- Coordinate and manage tender opportunities and aid in purchasing procedures.
- Create and execute annual business plans, sales forecasts, and strategies.
- Collect and share competitor and market intelligence to foster business expansion.
- Maintain an effective and consistent sales approach through use of planning and reporting tools.
Candidate Profile
- Demonstrated success in sales or commercial management roles, preferably within healthcare or medical devices.
- Strong leadership abilities with expertise in coaching and developing commercial teams.
- Familiarity with the Irish healthcare landscape, including HSE procurement and tendering practices.
- Sharp commercial insight with skills in forecasting, CRM platforms, and quotation handling.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and influence senior stakeholders.
- Proactive, resilient, and customer-oriented approach to business.
Additional Information
- Position is field-based across the Republic of Ireland.
- Full-time, permanent contract.
- Reports directly to the National Commercial Manager.
- Regular travel required within ROI and UK&I, including some overnight stays.
- Applicants must hold a valid Irish driving license, be eligible to work in Ireland and the UK, and consent to enhanced Garda vetting.
Compensation & Benefits
- Annual salary between €70,000 and €75,000.
- On-target earnings (OTE) up to €90,000 through bonus schemes.
