Role Summary
We are seeking a Commercial Finance Analyst on a one-year fixed-term contract to become an integral part of our finance team. Reporting directly to the Director of Commercial Finance, this position involves detailed financial data analysis, delivering insights, and supporting strategic decision-making processes throughout the company. The role requires close collaboration with various non-finance departments including Marketing, Goods, Services, Technology, Business Intelligence, and senior executives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the production and examination of weekly flash trading and KPI reports to update the Executive Management Team.
- Lead strategic financial initiatives by constructing models that assess the impact of business decisions and investments.
- Create professional PowerPoint presentations for Board Meetings, Shareholders, and other crucial stakeholders.
- Regularly analyze operational costs to pinpoint major drivers and identify efficiency improvement opportunities.
- Develop monthly sales targets and forecast EBITDA outcomes.
- Act as a Commercial Finance business partner across the Group, monitoring relevant KPIs for senior stakeholders.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses for the Finance Director and CEO as required.
Desired Technical Qualifications and Expertise
- Experience in business partnering, commercial finance, strategy, or transaction services.
- Proficient in advanced Excel and PowerPoint functionalities.
- Accounting certifications such as ACA or ACCA are preferred but not mandatory.
