Role Overview

The Collaboration Systems Engineer position, based in Berlin or Munich, involves a hybrid work model requiring two days weekly presence in the office. This role is part of the Data, Systems and AI department and focuses on managing how cross-company collaboration is facilitated through tools and workflows, ensuring thousands of employees remain aligned and productive as the company scales.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead ownership of the collaboration platform, centered on Atlassian Cloud (Jira, Confluence, JSM Assets), including workflows and integrations critical to business operations.
• Develop and maintain integrations utilizing REST APIs, webhooks, and modern authentication methods to connect internal and external systems.
• Implement automation throughout various collaboration tools to reduce manual effort and optimize productivity.
• Oversee additional collaboration platforms such as Slack and Google Workspace, ensuring their reliability and effective adoption.
• Manage the configuration and data integrity of JSM Assets (CMDB), including synchronization with external data sources.
• Create and maintain AI-assisted workflows, such as Rovo Agents, to streamline repetitive tasks and information access.
• Evaluate new collaboration tools reflecting evolving business needs, leading governance, adoption, and integration efforts.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to identify collaboration bottlenecks and deliver practical, timely solutions.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven experience managing collaboration or business system platforms end-to-end at scale in complex environments.
• Skilled in building system integrations and automation with REST APIs, webhooks, and similar technologies that achieve practical adoption.
• Comprehensive hands-on expertise with Atlassian Cloud tools (Jira, Confluence, JSM) at enterprise scale.
• Experience operating across diverse platforms (Google Workspace, Slack, ServiceNow, Salesforce) and integrating them efficiently.
• A systematic, engineering-oriented mindset with coding proficiency in languages such as JavaScript/TypeScript or Python; familiarity with Atlassian Forge is advantageous.
• Experience developing and governing AI-powered automation workflows, including impact assessment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to translate ambiguous needs into actionable tooling plans and influence outcomes.
