About the Role
We are seeking an experienced CNC Turning CAM Programmer proficient in Siemens NX CAM to develop and optimize CNC programs, primarily focused on rubber mold and oil seal cavity machining. The role involves programming, machine setup, tool proving, and collaboration with production and quality teams to ensure efficient and precise manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and modify CNC turning programs using Siemens NX CAM software.
- Prepare toolpaths for operations including turning, facing, grooving, threading, drilling, and boring.
- Support manufacturing of rubber molds and oil seal cavities through precise machining and finishing techniques.
- Set up CNC turning machines and operate them for both development and production tasks.
- Verify machine offsets, tool data, fixture setups, and correct part alignments.
- Conduct program proving on machines and implement necessary adjustments.
- Optimize machining parameters to enhance cycle time, tool lifespan, surface quality, and overall efficiency.
- Interpret engineering drawings, cavity profiles, and maintain dimensional accuracy within tolerances.
- Liaise with production, tool room, and quality departments to manage trials and resolve issues.
- Keep detailed documentation on setups, program revisions, and machining outcomes.
Candidate Requirements
- Demonstrated practical experience in CNC turning operations and CAM programming.
- Strong command of Siemens NX CAM software for program development.
- Hands-on knowledge of rubber mold production and oil seal cavity machining processes.
- Ability to understand and interpret complex technical drawings and critical dimensions.
- Knowledge of cutting tools selection, feeds, speeds, tool offsets, and machine setup processes.
- Experience with Fanuc CNC machine controllers.
- Understanding of troubleshooting techniques and shop-floor production support.
- Educational qualification: ITI, Diploma, or Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- A minimum of 3 years, up to 6 years, of relevant CNC turning and CAM programming experience.
- Exposure to mold shops, tool rooms, or oil seal manufacturing environments is preferable.

Compensation
