About the Role

Scripps Health's Administrative Services department supports a network of five hospital campuses, 31 outpatient centers, clinics, emergency rooms, and urgent care sites, employing 17,000 staff along with 3,000 physicians and 2,000 volunteers. We are seeking a full-time Clinical Research Assistant for our Oncology Research Team based in Torrey Pines, California. This role requires flexibility to travel to other Scripps locations including Hillcrest, Encinitas, and Oceanside as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist oncology trial coordinators in monitoring clinical trials.
  • Execute precise data entry and follow-up communications with patients.
  • Manage various facets of clinical trial operations ensuring adherence to research protocols and Institutional Review Board (IRB) standards.
  • Maintain regulatory documentation, aid with IRB submissions, and keep internal data tracking systems current.
  • Deliver excellent support to principal investigators and research sponsors within your assigned duties.

Qualifications and Required Skills

  • Minimum of one year experience in a healthcare setting or possession of an Allied Health professional degree.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and solve problems efficiently.
  • A motivated team player adept at communicating within fast-paced clinical environments with tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.

Preferred Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) preferred.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and prior research experience is advantageous.

Compensation & Work Details

The position offers an hourly wage ranging from $28.05 to $37.65. Work schedule is Monday through Friday primarily at the Torrey Pines location, with potential travel to Hillcrest, Encinitas, and Oceanside as needed.
