Role Overview

This fixed-term full-time position, based in Auckland CBD, covers maternity leave until June 2027 and is immediately available. The Clinical Placement Coordinator plays a vital role in facilitating nursing student clinical placements in various private healthcare environments by managing scheduling, communication, and compliance with Nursing Council standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the coordination of clinical placements including student assignments, scheduling, and related documentation across diverse private healthcare facilities.
• Maintain effective, ongoing communication with healthcare providers to support existing placement partnerships.
• Assist the Strategic Relationships and Development Lead with operational aspects to ensure smooth delivery of placements.
• Handle enrolments for preceptor training courses.
• Participate in ongoing enhancement of placement systems and procedures.
• Maintain and advance the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, tikanga Māori, and culturally safe practices.

Candidate Profile and Qualifications

• Proven experience in coordinating programs, projects, services, or scheduling.
• Excellent multitasking capabilities with strong attention to detail.
• Outstanding skills in stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and familiarity with databases or CRM tools.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously while contributing constructively to a team environment.
• Dedicated to continuous improvement and high-quality outcome delivery.
• Understanding or commitment to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally safe practice is desirable.

Experience in healthcare, tertiary education, student placement coordination, or workforce management is a plus but not mandatory.
