Role overview
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust is hiring a Clinical Photographer to join its progressive Medical Illustration team. The role sits within a service that supports clinical care, education and communication across the Trust through high-quality visual imaging.
This position is full time at 37.5 hours per week. Any request for different working patterns would need to align with the operational needs of the service.
What you will do
You will produce accurate, reliable and sensitive clinical photographs across a broad range of specialties. Your work will help healthcare teams with patient care, teaching and communication, so attention to detail and consistency are essential.
The post involves working closely with clinicians in varied clinical environments, handling patient identification and consent correctly, and managing data in line with policy. You will also organise your own workload, contribute ideas that improve the service, support colleagues when needed, and keep equipment in good working order.
The role includes working with digital workflows and asset management systems, while maintaining the standards expected within the department.

The Medical Illustration service is part of an energetic NHS organisation focused on patient care, education and research. The wider team supports many specialties using photography, video, design and digital media.
The department works in close collaboration with clinical teams to deliver visual communication that is accurate, dependable and centred on patient needs. Continuous improvement, innovation and inclusive working practices are part of the service’s approach.
