Role Overview

The Clinical Assistant position provides vital support to Radiographers, Sonographers, and Nurses, ensuring that patients receive attentive and quality care within the busy South West Health Campus in Bunbury. The role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work across various imaging modalities.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assistance to radiographers and clinical staff during diagnostic imaging procedures.
• Support patient welfare by comprehending their clinical contexts and confirming correct patient identity.
• Prepare and assist patients throughout all stages of imaging examinations.
• Perform patient cannulation and assist preparations for CT, MRI, Ultrasound, X-ray, and interventional imaging procedures.
• Ensure patient consent is obtained following clinical and organizational policies.
• Facilitate patient transport and other general clinical support activities.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and orderliness within the clinical environment.
• Manage stock levels and prepare imaging equipment as required.
• Comply with infection control measures and workplace health and safety standards.

Candidate Profile

• Prior healthcare or clinical experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Certificate III or IV in Health Services Assistance or equivalent qualifications are preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional demeanor, empathetic, and focused on patient-centered care.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced setting and flexible work hours.
• Dependable with a strong commitment to work ethic.
