Role Overview
The Clinical Applications Solutions Specialist will focus on designing, developing, and refining clinical workflows within various Clinical Applications, especially the AthenaOne Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. Reporting to the Manager of Clinical Applications Solutions, this role is pivotal in analyzing processes and implementing enhancements to boost both clinical and operational efficiency. It includes hands-on workflow design, clinical collaboration, and solution deployment as part of the Clinical Applications team.
Primary Responsibilities
- Examine clinical workflows to identify improvement opportunities within AthenaOne.
- Create and configure solutions that optimize end-to-end workflows.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for Clinical Applications tools such as AI-native encounter, Population Intelligence, and Quality tools.
- Partner with clinical personnel to gather requirements and confirm solution effectiveness.
- Support evaluation and deployment of third-party tools or Athena Marketplace offerings.
- Develop job aids, standard operating procedures, and training content.
- Conduct virtual or face-to-face training for clinical and operational teams.
- Keep updated on new product releases and ensure team preparedness for Clinical Applications features.
- Maintain documentation accuracy and comply with change management protocols.
- Contribute to ongoing process improvement efforts across clinical units.
Qualifications and Skills
- Have 2 to 4 years of experience working with Electronic Health Records, preferably AthenaOne.
- Familiarity with clinical workflow support, process improvement initiatives, or application configuration.
- Experience or exposure to healthcare operations or care coordination is desirable.
- Working knowledge of AthenaOne functionality and workflows.
- Basic understanding of healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, MIPS, and HEDIS.
- Adeptness with clinical documentation systems and care management workflows.
- Strong communication skills to engage both clinical and technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
- Capacity to rapidly learn and adapt to changing workflows and systems.
- Effective organization skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Collaborative and team-focused work style.
