Overview

MoveSmart Rentals is seeking a responsible and meticulous Cleaner to perform cleaning duties at residential rental properties. Tasks include move-in/move-out cleans, rental turnover cleaning, and preparing properties to be listing-ready.

MoveSmart Rentals is a leasing partner leveraging proprietary technology to assist landlords in leasing faster, minimizing vacancy, and thoroughly screening applicants. The company manages listings across MLS and more than 20 platforms, handling every phase from listing to tenant move-in.

Key Responsibilities

• Travel to residential rental locations for scheduled cleaning assignments, including move-in, move-out, turnover, and listing preparation.
• Execute thorough cleaning tasks following company guidelines and checklists.
• Clean all rooms and areas such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living spaces, hallways, and surfaces including cabinets and fixtures.
• Remove all dust, dirt, debris, garbage, and any leftover items as needed.
• Sanitize and wipe high-touch areas like counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, and baseboards.
• Perform floor maintenance including vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.
• Clean interior portions of appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers when required.
• Identify any spots needing extra cleaning, junk removal, repair, maintenance, or further attention.
• Document work with clear before-and-after photos and videos.
• Provide detailed updates with notes, photos, and videos after each cleaning visit.
• Maintain professional communication with landlords, applicants, tenants, and internal teams.
• Adhere to company protocols including cleaning checklists, access instructions, and appointment details.

• Deep cleaning
• Kitchen and bathroom intensive cleaning
• Cabinet and drawer cleaning
• Window sill and baseboard cleaning
• Garbage and minor debris removal
• Preparing properties for listings, photos, showings, inspections, or move-ins

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in cleaning roles such as housekeeper, cleaning contractor, or residential cleaner.
• Strong understanding of residential cleaning standards and best practices.
• Reliable transportation to reach multiple rental properties.
• Possession of necessary cleaning supplies and equipment for each job.
• Comfort with independent work at residential sites.
• Ownership of a smartphone (iPhone 13 or equivalent) with a quality camera for photo and video documentation.
• Ability to write clear work notes and provide updates post-visit.
• Professional, punctual, dependable, and attentive to detail.
• Clear communicator able to follow instructions, access guidelines, and interact respectfully with relevant parties.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience with move-in, move-out, or turnover cleaning specifically for rental properties.
• Familiarity with preparing properties for listings, inspections, and tenant move-ins.
• Ability to identify and report property damage, maintenance needs, junk removal, pest issues, or access problems.
• Experience working independently in field roles for property management, leasing, cleaning, or home service firms.
