About the Role

We are seeking a dependable and meticulous Cleaner to service residential rental properties. This position includes tasks such as move-in/move-out cleaning, rental turnover scrubs, and preparing properties for listings. Our client operates as a comprehensive leasing partner using proprietary technology to help landlords lease properties efficiently, minimize vacancies, and vet applicants thoroughly through syndication across MLS and 20+ platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Visit residential rental properties for scheduled cleaning sessions including move-in/move-out and turnover cleanings.
• Conduct thorough general cleaning following established company standards.
• Clean kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, common areas, appliances, flooring, cabinets, and fixtures.
• Remove dust, debris, garbage, and leftover materials.
• Sanitize surfaces, counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and high-touch points.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, and maintain floors.
• Clean inside household appliances like refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers as needed.
• Identify additional cleaning, junk removal, repairs, or maintenance needs, and note any issues requiring follow-up.
• Capture clear before and after photos and videos documenting cleaning results.
• Provide detailed updates, notes, and multimedia after each visit.
• Maintain professional communication with landlords, applicants, tenants (where applicable), and the internal team.
• Adhere strictly to company protocols, cleaning checklists, access guidelines, and appointment details.

Additional Cleaning Tasks

• Deep cleaning when required.
• Comprehensive kitchen, bathroom, and appliance cleaning.
• Floor maintenance including dusting and surface cleaning.
• Cabinet, drawer, window sill, and baseboard cleaning.
• Light garbage removal and debris clean-up.
• Ensuring properties are ready for photoshoots, showings, inspections, or move-ins.

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience in roles such as cleaner, housekeeper, or residential cleaning contractor.
• Solid understanding of residential cleaning standards.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Must supply personal cleaning equipment and supplies for appointments.
• Comfortable working solo at residential properties.
• Possession of a smartphone (iPhone 13 or equivalent) with a high-quality camera.
• Able to take crisp photos and videos and document work effectively.
• Strong written communication skills to submit clear updates after tasks.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Professional demeanor, punctuality, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow detailed cleaning instructions, checklists, and access information.
• Respectful and clear communication with landlords, applicants, tenants, and team members.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience with move-in, move-out, or turnover cleaning specifically for rental properties.
• Familiarity with preparing rental properties for listings, showings, inspections, or move-in readiness.
• Ability to recognize property damage, maintenance issues, need for junk removal, pest concerns, access restrictions, or unsafe conditions.
• Experience working independently in the field for property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services firms.

Field Equipment and Travel

• Must have reliable transportation to move between properties.
• Carry own cleaning supplies and tools for each scheduled job.

• Maintain ability to provide timely and detailed updates including photos and notes after every appointment.

Important Notes

This role is mainly focused on cleaning and making properties ready for listing. Cleaners are expected to report any discovered damage, maintenance needs, junk removal requirements, pest issues, access problems, or hazards to the relevant team for follow-up.
