Job Overview

We are seeking a Cleaner responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and healthy residential building environment in Vancouver. The position involves ensuring all common areas are orderly and well-maintained to enhance residents’ comfort and safety.

Work Schedule

Shifts available Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM or on an on-call basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain high cleanliness standards in garbage areas, parking lots, amenity rooms, entrances, elevators, and other places within the property.
• Keep lobbies, corridors, and mail areas tidy, organized, and clean.
• Check elevator cleanliness, lighting, and operation regularly and report any malfunctions promptly.
• Identify and notify supervisors about needed repairs, maintenance issues, or inventory shortages.
• Dispose of garbage and clean common spaces through sweeping, mopping, and dusting procedures.
• Continuously work on improving procedures and respond swiftly to requests to optimize building operations.
• Build and maintain respectful and positive relationships with residents.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum of one year’s experience in industrial, commercial, or hotel cleaning; experience in strata property cleaning is advantageous.
• Good customer service skills and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently without constant supervision.
• Proficient in reading and communicating in English.

Physical Requirements

• Capable of cleaning and monitoring areas including stairs, hallways, parking structures, and both interior and exterior building spaces, which involves substantial walking.
• Physical ability to handle and move garbage bins.
• Adaptability to work under various environmental conditions such as wind, heat, cold, and rain.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly wage between $20 and $22. On-call employees have access to an Employee Assistance Plan.
