About the Role
We are inviting applications for the role of Casualty Claims Examiner to join our team in Phoenix, AZ. This position involves managing bodily injury and general liability claims, including personal and commercial auto and structural damage claims. Your role will be crucial in assessing, investigating, and resolving claims efficiently while upholding our commitment to excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate initial claim reports to understand the cause of loss, coverage parameters, and injury or damage scope for auto and general liability cases.
- Perform detailed investigations into claims, identifying potential fraud and verifying documents accurately.
- Handle first and third-party injury claims related to No-Fault, Medical Payments, and liability exposures.
- Apply jurisdictional legal knowledge pertinent to all relevant territories.
- Engage in negotiations regarding liability and monetary damages to secure favorable outcomes.
- Oversee claims progress to ensure timely handling and closure of claim inventories.
- Collaborate with management by providing technical support, presenting findings, and participating in team meetings.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 2 years’ experience in liability insurance claims adjusting, including exposure to litigation processes.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong grasp of insurance policies, investigation procedures, and legal regulations.
- Ability to analyze complex contractual details and data effectively.
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.
Licensing Requirements
Candidates must obtain a relevant resident or designated home state adjuster’s license, and additional state licenses may be required.
