Position Overview

The Claims Intake Specialist plays a key role in managing the intake of insurance claims by reviewing and identifying all requirements necessary for both new and ongoing claims. This role supports Care Managers and Care Coordinators and ensures excellent customer service is provided to policyholders, their representatives, and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze internal databases, client policies, and contract details to determine required information for initial and ongoing claim processing.
• Evaluate submitted claim forms and reach out to insured individuals, their representatives, or providers to gather necessary information for benefit inquiries.
• Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all claim intake activities within designated databases.
• Achieve established departmental quality and productivity benchmarks.
• Handle requests from clients or other internal departments efficiently and professionally.
• Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.
