Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) position is a full-time, onsite role located in Limerick. This leadership role is responsible for managing the daily operational functions of the company and advancing operational excellence. The COO oversees project delivery to ensure residential developments achieve targeted standards of quality, safety, timelines, and budgeting.
Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional teams, enhancing operational procedures, and aligning operations with the company’s strategic objectives and expansion plans. The COO works closely with senior executives in areas such as planning, budgeting, and resource management, and cultivates strong working relationships with various public and private stakeholders.
Additional duties involve establishing performance measurement frameworks, pinpointing operational risks and opportunities, and fostering a culture grounded in accountability, continuous improvement, collaboration, safety, and quality.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven strategic leadership and business planning expertise, with a demonstrated ability to align operations with long-term growth targets.
- Experienced in operations management including process optimization, project oversight, and leading diverse teams.
- Strong analytical capabilities to assess performance metrics, discern trends, and support data-driven decision making.
- Competence in finance and budgeting, with experience managing operational budgets and contributing to financial strategy.
- Extensive background in construction, property development, or related industries, preferably in residential housing.
- Skilled in collaborating with public/private partners and managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities, capable of influencing leadership at all levels.
- Relevant higher education qualifications in business, engineering, construction management, or analogous fields; advanced degrees viewed favorably.
- Demonstrated success in cultivating high-performing teams and promoting a culture emphasizing safety, quality, and ongoing improvement.
