Role Overview
The Chief Operating Officer (COO) position is a part-time remote opportunity responsible for managing daily operations to ensure business processes are efficient, strategically aligned, and compliant with company policies. The COO will oversee operational performance, pinpoint opportunities for improvement, and establish systems and workflows that promote sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day business operations to maintain efficiency and compliance.
- Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic business planning, financial management, and optimal allocation of resources.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecast financial outcomes, and control costs.
- Analyze operational data to inform decisions and enhance cross-functional teamwork.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Manage risks associated with operational processes.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Demonstrated expertise in business planning including strategy formulation, goal establishment, and tracking execution.
- Proven experience in operations management with capability to design, apply, and refine processes.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data and performance metrics enabling evidence-based decisions.
- Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and cost management.
- Leadership experience guiding cross-functional teams effectively.
- Excellent communication skills suited for remote collaboration.
- Previously held a senior operations or executive leadership role, preferably in a fast-growing organization.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, management, or related discipline; an advanced degree such as MBA is advantageous.
