Role overview
Vedanta is inviting expressions of interest for a Chief of Staff & Strategy position based in Mumbai. The role sits close to the leadership team and is designed for a seasoned strategist or transformation professional who can help steer key priorities, accelerate execution, and improve enterprise performance. It offers the chance to move from advisory work into a hands-on role that influences outcomes across a large, diversified business spanning natural resources, critical minerals, energy, and technology-led operations.
Key focus areas
- Work in close partnership with the President’s office to advance strategic priorities and company-wide initiatives.
- Own execution of important business goals by putting in place strong governance, monitoring, and accountability.
- Create executive-level dashboards and performance tracking tools that support informed decision-making.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts across growth, transformation, operational improvement, and technology adoption.
- Act as a dependable thought partner by bringing structured problem-solving, strategic direction, and a strong execution mindset.
Candidate profile
The ideal candidate will have deep experience in strategy consulting, corporate strategy, transformation, CEO Office, Founder’s Office, or comparable leadership roles. Vedanta is specifically looking for professionals currently working with, or alumni of, leading Big 3 strategy consulting firms and Big 4 consulting firms. The role calls for strong analytical ability, sharp first-principles thinking, intellectual depth, and an entrepreneurial approach with clear ownership and accountability.
Working style and leadership fit
This position requires someone who is comfortable taking measured risks, questioning standard approaches, and moving quickly to deliver results.
