Chief Financial Officer

Role overview

PharmaLink is looking for a seasoned Chief Financial Officer to join the executive team at its Largo, Florida location. Reporting to the CEO, this leader will act as a strategic finance partner to senior leadership and private equity stakeholders while also staying closely involved in day-to-day financial execution. The position calls for a practical, hands-on executive who can strengthen financial systems, improve operating discipline, and help scale the organization in a private equity-backed environment.

The right person will be comfortable moving between strategy and execution, building financial infrastructure, and working across departments to improve accountability, visibility, and performance. This role leads the Finance function and covers accounting, FP&A, treasury, budgeting, reporting, audit coordination, strategic finance, and broader financial planning efforts.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a trusted finance partner to the CEO, executive team, and private equity investors.
• Oversee accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management, while directly guiding FP&A, forecasting, financial modeling, and enterprise finance strategy.
• Create and continuously improve scalable financial systems, dashboards, KPI tracking, and reporting tools that give leadership timely insight into performance and leading indicators.
• Deliver weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for executives, board members, private equity partners, and lenders.
• Work closely with department heads to strengthen financial ownership, decision-making, and operating efficiency.
• Promote disciplined budgeting practices and help leaders understand forecasting, accountability, and performance management.
• Support growth and scalability through financial modeling, workforce planning support, capital planning, and process improvements.
• Manage relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors, and other external financial partners.
• Identify financial risks, operational weaknesses, and succession-related vulnerabilities, then put mitigation plans in place.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, lending covenants, and internal controls.
• Provide analysis and strategic recommendations for growth initiatives, investments, acquisitions, vendor agreements, and commercial opportunities.
• Maintain and optimize ERP and finance technology systems, including SAP and connected reporting platforms.
• Help shape a high-performing finance culture centered on collaboration, urgency, responsiveness, execution, and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to executive planning, compensation discussions, and board-level initiatives.
• Prepare quarterly board materials together with the executive leadership team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
• At least 15 years of progressive leadership experience in finance.
• Background as a CFO, VP of Finance, or another senior finance executive.
• Experience in a private equity-backed organization.
• Direct exposure to lenders, investors, and boards.
• Strong command of GAAP, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting, and finance operations.
• Proven ability to design scalable finance processes and reporting structures.
• Strong executive-level communication, leadership, and business partnership skills.
• Experience working in ERP-driven finance environments, with SAP preferred.

Preferred qualifications

• MBA, CPA, or another advanced business or finance credential.
• Experience in pharmaceutical services, healthcare, life sciences, logistics, distribution, or another regulated industry.
• Experience in high-growth or rapidly scaling businesses.

Additional information

This is a fully on-site position based in Largo, Florida. The finance leader will report directly to the CEO and oversee the Finance department.
