Description de l'emploi
About the organisation
Timboon & District Healthcare Service (TDHS) is inviting applications from an experienced, appropriately qualified health executive for a senior leadership opportunity. TDHS is a Multi-Purpose Service delivering a wide mix of acute, aged care, primary care and community health services for Timboon and surrounding districts. The service area covers roughly 7,700 people and includes Timboon, Cobden, Simpson, and the Great Ocean Road communities of Princetown, Port Campbell, Peterborough and Nullawarre.
Role purpose
The Chief Executive Officer will support the Board in carrying out its governance responsibilities and will lead the execution of TDHS’s strategic direction. The role carries accountability for ensuring the organisation retains a strong reputation, adheres to statutory obligations, and follows Victorian Department of Health policies and procedures.
Key responsibilities
The CEO will oversee the operational, clinical, financial and people-management functions of TDHS. The position also requires building and maintaining relationships with health professionals, fostering positive connections with the local community, and working closely with partner agencies across the South West Local Health Service Network.
Selection criteria
Applicants should hold a relevant tertiary qualification and postgraduate study in one of the following areas: clinical practice, health administration, business, or quality management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong track record of executive leadership in a complex organisation, with evidence of delivering quality health services, meeting performance targets, and achieving budget outcomes in a constrained financial environment. The Board is looking for a leader with strong integrity, transparency, and the ability to build trust.
Desirable experience
Prior management experience in a small rural public health service in Victoria would be an advantage.
Application process
Full role information is available through the employer’s website, or by contacting John Cross on 0417 332 598 or Jo Lowday on 0400 158 155. To apply, candidates must provide a cover letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria, a complete CV, and a finished HRS Application Form available on the HRS website. Applications may be submitted online or by email to hrsa@hrsa.com.au. The closing date for applications is 26 July 2026.
