Description de l'emploi
About W Health Ventures
W Health Ventures is a US-based venture firm focused on building and backing the next generation of healthcare companies in the United States. The firm also operates 2070 Health, an innovation platform that creates new healthcare businesses from the ground up by identifying unmet opportunities in white spaces. Unlike a traditional accelerator, the studio stays deeply involved in shaping ideas, running day-to-day execution, and guiding strategic decisions as the company grows.
The firm’s latest launch was Everbright Health, an asset-light MSO supporting mental health providers in delivering advanced interventions as part of routine care. Everbright emerged from the studio in late 2025 with $7M in seed funding and partnerships with more than 250 providers across seven US markets within its first few months.
The opportunity
Care navigation remains one of the biggest unsolved challenges for complex patients in the US. Medicare and Medicaid members with multiple chronic conditions and unmet social needs often move through a fragmented system where no one truly owns the full journey. That leads to missed care, avoidable readmissions, and results that fall short for both patients and payers.
Two major shifts have changed the landscape: CMS now reimburses navigation through the PIN and CHI billing pathways, and the broader reimbursement environment - including ACO REACH, GUIDE, and ACCESS - is moving in the same direction. The underlying problem has been clear for years; the business model has only now caught up. The opportunity to build the category leader is open, but likely not for long.
W Health Ventures is creating a new company to lead this space and is seeking a founding CEO to own the business end to end: the P&L, the care navigation operating model, payer and provider relationships, and the early team. This is a founder-level role with equity and direct partnership with the incubation team. It is not a chief-of-staff position or a general manager role inside an existing company; it is the top leadership role at a business being built from zero by someone who has done it before and wants to do it again with capital, conviction, and a clear thesis already in place.
What you will do
- Take full ownership of the P&L by building the financial model, setting unit economics, defending assumptions, and running the business to plan.
- Design and scale the care navigation engine, including the clinical workflow, community health worker and care-team structure, and a technology-enabled operating model that grows margin rather than simply adding headcount.
- Lead go-to-market efforts by personally securing the first payer contracts, specialist provider partnerships, and post-acute relationships.
- Translate CMS reimbursement and program mechanics - including PIN, CHI, ACO REACH, GUIDE, and the ACCESS Model - into a repeatable, commercially viable offer.
- Recruit, develop, and manage the early team across clinical, operations, and growth functions while setting the culture and performance standard from the beginning.
- Work closely with W Health Ventures on fundraising, board communication, and the long-term investor story.
What we are looking for
- 10 to 15 years of experience building healthcare businesses in operating roles, rather than in advisory or investing positions.
- Direct background in care navigation, complex care management, or running a meaningful navigation function inside a value-based care organization.
- Experience as a founder or founding executive at a healthcare company, ideally one that progressed beyond the early stage.
- Strong ownership of P&L management, including the ability to build and defend the operating model independently.
- A strong academic or professional pedigree, such as a top MBA, experience at a VC-backed healthcare company, or both.
Nice to have
- Working familiarity with CMS innovation programs and PIN/CHI billing codes, including G0019/G0022 and G0023/G0024.
- An MD and MBA combination, which is a plus but not mandatory.
- Experience recruiting and managing community health worker teams at scale.
- Exposure to Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, or D-SNP populations.
Who you are
You operate with an owner’s mindset and are comfortable taking responsibility for outcomes. You thrive in ambiguity, using it as a signal to focus rather than slow down. You move quickly, step into the work directly, and are ready to draft the model, join the call, and run the meeting before handing anything off. You believe care navigation will define the next decade of healthcare, and you are prepared for the long-term commitment that comes with building a company from the ground up.
What we offer
- Founder-level equity.
- Competitive cash compensation along with full benefits.
- A fully funded company from day one, backed by a healthcare-focused firm.
- US-based remote work, with travel required for partner meetings and team offsites.
