Catering Assistant - Headford Town, County Galway

Position Overview

Supermac's is looking to hire full-time Catering Assistants for its branch located in Headford Town, County Galway. Please note, this location is 25.4 km from Galway City and is distinct from the Headford Road location in Galway City. Candidates must be able to commute daily without transportation challenges, considering public transit is limited, with approximate travel times of 48 minutes by bus and 35 minutes by car.

Job Purpose

The Catering Assistant plays a key role in maintaining high service and cleanliness standards across Supermac's and related brands including Papa John's, SuperSubs, Mac’s Deli, Bewley’s Barista, and Spar. They interact warmly and efficiently with customers, colleagues, and management, adhering to training and company standards to ensure a welcoming and safe dining experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consistently warm and friendly customer service during every shift.
• Operate effectively across all restaurant areas to uphold company safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate harmoniously with team members and management, treating all staff respectfully.
• Comply with all company protocols in food preparation, storage, and production.
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor both on and off the premises.
• Support management efforts in growing customer visits and increasing daily sales.
• Ensure strict adherence to cash handling procedures as instructed by management.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas including the lobby and customer restrooms throughout shifts.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to customer complaints or incidents, escalating to supervisors or managers as needed.
• Demonstrate flexibility to work across various roles and areas as required by management.

• Reside in or near Headford Town, or have reliable private transportation allowing daily commuting without difficulties.
• Deliver excellent customer service consistently.
