Overview
We seek a skilled Category Account Manager to lead the growth and success of a specific segment by managing seller relationships, optimizing performance, broadening product assortment, and collaborating across teams to improve customer satisfaction and category expansion.
Key Duties
- Identify gaps in product assortment and onboard appropriate items to enhance catalog quality and customer choices.
- Boost gross merchandise value (GMV), order volumes, and revenue through assortment optimization, competitive pricing, and active promotion participation.
- Manage a portfolio of sellers focused on business growth, operational excellence, and maintaining long-term partnerships.
- Track seller performance metrics including fill rate, cancellations, returns, and service level agreements (SLAs), driving ongoing improvements.
- Analyze category trends, seller data, and customer demand to identify actionable growth strategies.
- Collaborate closely with Pricing, Marketing, Catalog, Operations, and Supply chain teams to implement category initiatives and address seller challenges.
Required Qualifications and Attributes
- 2 to 6 years of experience in category management, account or vendor management, or marketplace operations, preferably in e-commerce or consumer internet sectors.
- Strong analytical capabilities with competence in Excel or Google Sheets to interpret business data and extract actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with an ability to influence both sellers and cross-functional teams.
- Highly self-motivated, action-oriented, and adept at thriving in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment.
