Role Overview
This role involves supporting the Lead Technician during on-site and workshop operations, and assisting the Base Supervisor with next-day job assignments when a Senior Technician is not available. As a member of the team, you will provide essential support to colleagues and are expected to maintain orderly and clean work environments both in workshops and field sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Lead Technician in completing on-site and workshop tasks, and help allocate jobs for the following day in absence of senior staff.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, offering assistance as needed.
- Maintain and update a daily diary to document work activities.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of your immediate work area during both workshop and site work.
- Promote and market company services, products, and solutions to enhance business outreach.
- Adhere to quality management systems complying with AS/NZS ISO 9001:2000 standards to deliver quality services and products to clients.
- Follow all company policies and procedures diligently, including those subject to updates over time.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess trade skills such as Fitter & Turner, Fitter Machinist, or equivalent relevant expertise.
- Holding a trade certificate is strongly preferred.
- Must have a valid Australian Driver’s License.
- Must possess a Construction Card.
- Capable of working onshore, offshore, and at remote sites.
- Willingness to work in shift patterns.
- Strong ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
- Competent to operate with minimal supervision.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Basic computer literacy is an advantage.
