Job Overview
The Cashier position is essential for delivering prompt, friendly, accurate, and safe customer service. Cashiers handle checkout and return transactions as well as oversee the self-checkout zones. They actively enhance product and project knowledge to provide customers with informative assistance and identify potential sales opportunities. Compliance with all policies ensures minimization of inventory shrinkage.
Additional Responsibilities for Head Cashier
Head Cashiers lead and assist other Cashiers by managing their workstations, expediting price verifications, authorizing transactions and markdowns across various sections including main registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental. They serve as the initial point for handling customer escalations and contribute to the coaching, supervision, and training of Front End Associates. This includes training new Cashiers and leveraging available resources to support their ongoing development.
Qualifications
Applicants for the Head Cashier role ideally possess over one year of Cashier experience.
