About The Role

The Capex Operations Manager serves as both an active operations leader and mentor, enhancing the operational systems and procedures that drive capital project execution within North America Capex Engineering. This role combines direct responsibility for portfolio operations, monitoring, governance, and compliance with mentoring and managing Project Coordinators to ensure improved project delivery and consistency across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage PMO systems, procedures, and enforce policies that support consistent capital project outcomes.
  • Oversee onboarding and deliver system/process training to new Project Managers and Project Coordinators.
  • Handle system issue resolution, manage support tickets, and provide user assistance.
  • Maintain standard operating procedures for users and ensure policies and engineering processes are strictly followed.
  • Provide direct coaching, support, and coordinate workloads for Project Coordinators.
  • Manage onboarding, role development, escalation handling, and daily execution support for Project Coordinators.
  • Assist with performance management to increase consistency and efficiency across the Project Coordinator team.
  • Conduct audits of project files and operational health checks to improve quality and policy compliance.
