Overview
Schneider Electric is looking for a Business Finance Support professional on a contract basis in Ahmednagar, India. The role focuses on keeping finance operations accurate and well controlled across month-end close, inventory governance, costing checks, audit support, and management reporting.
What you will handle
- Support the month-end close process by checking journal vouchers, provisions, revenue-related entries, and SMNM provisioning.
- Carry out inventory control activities such as PV execution, reconciliations, and review of provision validations.
- Validate costing for new products, including CAC checks and follow-up on billing block issues.
- Assist with process-related finance tasks such as scrap accounting and intra-unit reconciliations.
- Support internal and statutory audits while ensuring compliance with control requirements.
- Prepare and review finance MIS inputs, including general ledger scrutiny, provision tracking, and reporting support.
Expected outcomes
- Close the month accurately and on time.
- Maintain strong inventory governance and control discipline.
- Ensure costing data is validated correctly and financial information remains reliable.
- Help audits run smoothly with no control gaps.
Profile required
The position is suited to candidates with 4 to 8 years of experience in manufacturing or plant finance and exposure to month-end closing, inventory accounting, and ERP systems. Strong analytical thinking and careful attention to detail are important for success in this role.
Qualifications
Preferred academic background includes CA Inter, CMA Inter, MBA in Finance, or B.Com.
