Job Summary
The Business Development Specialist works under the CEO's Business Development team, focusing on advancing key strategic initiatives that support QSE’s growth, market evolution, and institutional goals. This position requires effectively structuring assigned topics, conducting thorough analysis, and delivering actionable recommendations and workplans. Collaboration with the Head of Business Development, supervision of the BD Analyst, and coordination across departments are critical to ensuring outputs are accurate, actionable, and ready for senior leadership discussion and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and frame assigned projects by choosing suitable problem-solving methods, identifying critical issues, setting assumptions, and detailing necessary analyses.
- Formulate and validate hypotheses, simplify complex insights for senior stakeholders, and provide actionable recommendations including consideration of trade-offs and areas needing executive guidance.
- Plan and execute research methodologies including market benchmarking, data sourcing, and validation techniques.
- Produce data-driven evaluations integrating research, internal feedback, and quantitative insights into clear conclusions about QSE’s market positioning.
- Deliver polished senior-level presentations, briefing documents, and opportunity analyses that construct a coherent narrative linking challenges, evidence, outcomes, and proposed next steps.
- Collaborate with various internal departments to gather input, confirm information accuracy, and reconcile differing perspectives to establish a cohesive view.
- Monitor progress of assigned projects, tracking actions, deadlines, dependencies, and escalating any delays or conflicts to leadership promptly.
- Mentor and supervise the BD Analyst by reviewing their outputs, offering constructive feedback, and ensuring quality and consistency of research materials and project tracking.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or related discipline; Master’s degree preferred.
- Between five and seven years of experience in prominent professional settings such as Big Four firms, multinational corporations, capital markets entities, or financial services organizations with roles in strategy, business development, research, or analysis.
- Proven ability to define and solve business challenges, structure hypotheses, conduct research, analyze data, and generate clear, senior-level recommendations and reports.
- Experience managing relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders to collect and validate information and advance project objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising junior staff, managing project timelines, and ensuring thorough follow-ups.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of clearly conveying complex information to senior executives.
- Familiarity with capital markets, exchanges, listed companies, financial services, investors, brokers, or market infrastructure is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
