Role overview
EcoFlow is a fast-growing global company focused on portable power stations, solar storage systems, and smart energy products. The business is expanding across Africa and is hiring a Business Development Specialist to strengthen its footprint in Tanzania.
This position is suited to professionals who are driven by results and bring solid experience from either the solar energy space or the 3C electronics field, including mobile phones, ICT, and consumer electronics. The role will contribute to building the distribution network, improving retail performance, and increasing market reach across the assigned areas.
What the role will do
- Grow and strengthen EcoFlow’s retail and distribution footprint in the assigned territories.
- Implement sales plans to meet monthly and quarterly revenue goals.
- Improve both sell-in and sell-through results across retail partners.
- Oversee product display, merchandising, and stock movement in partner stores.
- Develop and sustain productive relationships with chain outlets, distributors, independent retailers, and specialist stores.
- Visit markets regularly to track competitor activity and uncover new growth opportunities.
- Train store teams and channel partners on EcoFlow products and their value.
- Compile and share weekly and monthly sales updates.
- Provide prompt feedback on market changes, pricing shifts, and customer needs.
- Support promotional drives and in-store activity to raise brand visibility and sales.
Experience and qualification requirements
- At least 3 years of direct sales experience in one of the following sectors: solar energy, mobile phones/ICT, or consumer electronics.
- Good working knowledge of Tanzania’s retail and distribution environment.
- Proven ability to manage retail channels and dealer networks.
- Track record of delivering sell-in and sell-through outcomes end to end.
- Capability to hit sales targets while keeping stock moving effectively through retail partners.
- Existing relationships with key retail stakeholders, such as chain stores, large retailers, specialty electronics outlets, solar retailers/distributors, and independent retail networks in the region.
- Own a personal computer for remote reporting and sales data handling.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Able to work with limited supervision and travel often within the assigned provinces.
Compensation and benefits
The pay range offered for this role is USD 300 to USD 500, with additional performance-based incentives and commissions.
