Overview
We are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to spearhead growth across New Zealand and Australia for a leading third-party logistics (3PL) and fulfilment service provider. This role primarily focuses on securing new clients and expanding partnerships within the e-commerce and retail sectors, helping brands optimize their warehousing, fulfilment, and distribution capabilities without requiring their own infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities throughout New Zealand and Australia within the 3PL logistics space.
- Establish partnerships with e-commerce brands and companies across diverse industries including retail, health, beauty, automotive, DIY, manufacturing, and consumer goods.
- Lead face-to-face meetings, sales presentations, and consultative solution selling to engage business owners, operations managers, supply chain experts, and decision-makers.
- Manage the entire sales process from prospecting and lead generation to onboarding and account management.
- Collaborate effectively with internal operational teams to ensure smooth client onboarding and service delivery.
- Maintain and grow existing customer relationships while meeting revenue and sales targets.
Candidate Profile
- Must be a New Zealand citizen or have permanent residency.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales and business development roles.
- Experience within logistics, warehousing, freight, courier, transport, fulfilment, or supply chain industries is highly preferred.
- Proficient in prospecting, lead generation, and cold calling with a consultative sales approach.
- Confident in engaging senior-level stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on relationship-building.
- Driven, self-motivated, and results-oriented attitude.
