About the Role
Mercor, a leading talent platform connecting top creative and technical experts with premier AI research organizations, is seeking a Business Consultant specializing in management and strategy. Our headquarters are in San Francisco, backed by major investors such as Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, among others.
Position Overview
- Contract role with compensation of $100 per hour.
- Fully remote position requiring a minimum commitment of 10+ hours weekly.
Responsibilities
- Perform market research and competitive assessments to advance AI model training capabilities.
- Create comprehensive business cases, operational frameworks, and market entry strategies aimed at optimizing AI systems.
- Translate collected data into actionable insights through presentations, memos, and modeling tools to guide AI output development.
- Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to establish critical metrics and decision criteria for evaluating AI solutions.
- Assist in strategic planning, scenario-based forecasting, and opportunity analysis to boost AI performance outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 18 months’ experience at a top-tier management consulting firm such as McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or another Big 5 consultancy.
- Exceptional analytical reasoning and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to operate autonomously in environments characterized by ambiguity and rapid change.
- Proficient use of PowerPoint, Excel, and fundamental data analysis applications.
Preferred Experience
- Prior advisory roles within technology, artificial intelligence, or SaaS sectors.
