Description de l'emploi
About the Role
AmeriLux is seeking a skilled Business Analyst to transform retail data into actionable insights. By examining sales, inventory, and return data from various retail partners, you will help boost sales, enhance profit margins, minimize returns, and optimize inventory levels. This role involves collaboration across Sales, Marketing, Product, Operations, and Supply Chain teams. Success is measured by the tangible business improvements your analyses bring rather than the volume of reports generated.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze point-of-sale, sales, inventory, and return data from partners such as Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards, Do it Best, True Value, Ace, House-Hasson, ILDC, RONA, and Home Hardware.
- Develop dashboards and reports that highlight trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Conduct root cause analysis on returns to identify issues like product defects, shipping damage, packaging, or content errors.
- Assess products based on sales, margins, turnover rates, and customer feedback to advise on assortment modifications, improvements, or discontinuations.
- Evaluate promotional campaigns to determine effectiveness and inform future merchandising strategies.
- Examine inventory levels, forecasting accuracy, and system configurations to improve stock availability and reduce excess inventory.
- Monitor competitor pricing and market trends to uncover potential growth areas.
- Track and communicate essential KPIs including sales growth, gross margin, inventory turnover, fill rates, returns, and in-stock performance.
Qualifications
- A degree in Business, Analytics, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related discipline is preferred.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in retail analytics, business intelligence, merchandising, category management, or sales analysis.
- Proficiency in advanced Excel functions such as PivotTables, Power Query, and XLOOKUP; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualization tools is preferred.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving capabilities, and effective communication skills.
- A curious and investigative approach, aiming to derive actionable recommendations from data insights.
Benefits
- Comprehensive healthcare plan with zero-dollar deductible to provide full coverage and peace of mind.
- Onsite healthcare clinic offering convenient access to personalized medical care at no cost.
- Dental and vision insurance coverage.
- Disability and life insurance protection for employees and their families.
- 401(k) retirement plan with company matching contributions.
- Employee assistance program to support wellbeing.
- Paid time off and access to flexible spending accounts.
