Position Overview
Join Zepto as a Manager II - Business Analyst in the Control Tower Defects Department, contributing to rapid decision-making and operational excellence. This role involves driving comprehensive analytics to provide real-time insights into business and operational performance across the network.
Key Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end analytics for the Control Tower, enabling live tracking of business and operational metrics.
- Create and sustain automated reports, dashboards, and KPI trackers monitoring supply chain, business, and operational data.
- Analyze extensive datasets to detect patterns, bottlenecks, and opportunities, delivering actionable solutions.
- Collaborate closely with teams across Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Finance, and Business to address complex challenges using data-driven approaches.
- Write effective SQL queries to extract, clean, and analyze data from diverse sources, ensuring data integrity.
- Build forecasting models, exception reports, and performance scorecards to aid business planning and decisions.
- Lead root cause analyses of key operational issues and propose scalable enhancements to boost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Automate regular reports and data workflows to minimize manual effort and expedite reporting.
- Monitor business health indicators proactively to detect anomalies and coordinate corrective measures with appropriate teams.
- Continuously enhance data quality, reporting systems, and analytics methods to support expedited, data-backed decision-making organization-wide.
Qualifications and Experience
- A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline. An MBA qualification is preferred.
- Between 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Control Tower, Supply Chain Analytics, Operations Analytics, E-commerce, Quick Commerce, Logistics, or roles within fast-paced startups.
- Strong command of SQL with solid experience in drafting complex queries including joins, CTEs, window functions, and working with large datasets.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel featuring Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, and comprehensive data analysis.
- Analytical thinker adept at solving ambiguous business problems through data insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management, capable of influencing decisions based on analytical insights.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure environment juggling multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
- Familiarity with Python programming or statistical analysis techniques is considered a valuable addition.
