Business Analyst

About the Role

Our client, a technology firm based in the United Arab Emirates, is searching for a skilled Business Analyst for a 3-month contract to contribute to a broad enterprise business and data discovery project. The role demands close collaboration with business stakeholders and internal technology units to collect, evaluate, and document requirements and data sources, offering structured functional support for solution development. This position focuses purely on business analysis without involvement in technical implementation or software development.

Key Duties

• Engage with stakeholders to comprehend current operations and business necessities.
• Lead workshops, interviews, and requirement gathering meetings.
• Document business, functional, and non-functional requirements thoroughly.
• Locate and catalogue business data sources and their custodians.
• Analyze and record current business processes and workflows.
• Create Business Requirement Documents, Functional Requirement Documents, user stories, and process maps.
• Collaborate with IT and project teams for clarifying business needs.
• Assist in validating requirements and traceability management.
• Participate in testing efforts including validation and user acceptance testing as needed.
• Maintain documentation including project files, issue trackers, action logs, and status reports.

Essential Qualifications & Skills

• Proven expertise in requirements gathering and documentation.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Experienced in organizing workshops and conducting business interviews.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in documenting processes and workflows.
• Competence in analyzing business data and recognizing data sources.
• Background in enterprise-level transformation or system implementation projects.
• Exceptional documentation and reporting abilities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong command of written and verbal English.

Preferred Technical Familiarity

• Experience with enterprise applications, notably ERP systems such as SAP.
• Knowledge of data mapping and analysis.
• Understanding of API integration projects from a functional/business standpoint.
