Bus Captain

Role Overview

The Bus Captain is responsible for managing passenger boarding and seating arrangements, ensuring adherence to scheduled boarding times, and maintaining onboard service quality throughout the journey.

Key Duties

• Assist passengers during boarding and guide them to their allocated seats.
• Report punctually at the designated boarding location as per assignment.
• Maintain and verify onboard amenities comply with set standards via a daily checklist.
• Contact and orient passengers who are delayed to facilitate timely boarding.
• Collaborate with various stakeholders to address issues and enhance the overall travel experience.
• Manage spot ticket bookings and keep accurate daily financial records.
• Accompany the bus during journeys lasting between 8 to 14 hours and undertake return travel the following day.
• Provide assistance with passenger requirements and onboard facilities throughout the trip.
• Engage with passengers in a courteous and professional manner during all communications.

Language Requirements

Proficiency in one of the regional languages Malayalam, Tamil, or Kannada is essential, with basic knowledge of English being advantageous.
